"A meal is intimate and most enjoyable with your loved ones. When we share our meals, we extend a bit of ourselves with others."
When you move from one corner of the country to another part of India, and then move across the oceans, following your passion, you sometimes stop to think and long to reconnect with your core. That which was an integral part of you since childhood. And the stepping stone to your professional life.
To Rishidev R K the pencil and later the paint brush were extensions of his being from childhood. The internal flair took him into Trivandrum College of Fine Arts to specialise in sculpture. Somewhere along the line, he found that it was illustration which gave him the blood rush and the satisfaction.
Equipped with a style that was unique, Rishi moved into the world of Advertising, in Bangalore, to work on large global brands like Lee and Diesel. From there he moved to the bustling capital of India – Delhi – to work with Wieden + Kennedy, to discover and push new frontiers in design and illustration.
The style which he brings to the table is unique and contemporary. Working with Wieden + Kennedy at Portland, Rishi zones back to his core passion with the Eating Love Art Project. It is the first time that he is exhibiting his art form. And is excited about taking it into the homes of so many in Bangalore.
His belief is that – “ A meal is intimate and most enjoyable with your loved ones. When we share our meals, we extend a bit of ourselves with others. ” This is visible from the piece of art that is exhibited here on the cover.
