The senses, of taste, smell, sight and touch dominate us, each time when we find ourselves close to the food, letting us to be in a certain way. These instincts lead one into unknown yet fulfilling territories. This collage is a simplistic and playful interpretation of those powerful instincts where the ‘self’ is completely free to ‘be’ and enjoys the true experience of existence.
A self-taught analog collage artist hailing from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, speaks her truth through paper cut-outs and their layering. She lets herself be guided by the process and unconsciously pick elements which leads to a hint of surrealism ending up in different visual narratives.
During the day she works as an Account manager in an advertising firm in Mumbai, and by the night she is a visual artist; exploring forms, visual imagery, juxtaposition, bringing out connections and harmony between unlikely elements.
She has exhibited her work at Museum of Arts, Goa; 1 ShanthiRoad Gallery, Bangalore; Irregular Arts Fair, New Delhi; TIFA India, Pune; Greenr Cafe, New Delhi etc.
